CAPCOM Co., Ltd. of Japan has announced the latest product in their "Monster Hunter" statue series, 'CAPCOM FIGURE BUILDER Creator's Model', created in collaboration with renowned monster sculptors. This new interpretation, based on the first model released in 2010, is the "Rathian Ver. 2.0", with a suggested retail price of 22,000 JPY, scheduled for release in January 2026.
Widely known among players as a Flying Wyvern monster in the "Monster Hunter" series, Rathian is the Queen of the Land, corresponding to the King of the Skies. She possesses exceptional leg strength, primarily hunts on the ground, and is characterized by her poisonous tail. She also has the ability to breathe fire, and on land, Rathian's flame breath is even more potent than Rathalos'. After laying her eggs, if there is any abnormality with them, she will furiously launch a fierce attack on egg thieves.
The 'CAPCOM FIGURE BUILDER Creator's Model Rathian Ver.2.0' is sculpted by Tatsuya Furuichi, a disciple of the renowned monster sculptor Ryu Oyama. Based on an evolved in-game model, this new interpretation brings Rathian to life in a three-dimensional form, capturing her with her massive wings spread and letting out a powerful roar. Crafted at a height of approximately 25 cm, it meticulously depicts her coiled posture within her nest. Details such as the patterns on her wing membranes, the intricacies of her scales, and the poisonous barbs on her tail are faithfully reproduced, and a sophisticated color application brings out a realistic biological feel. The nest and Rathian eggs are cleverly designed on the back of the base, adding even more tension and dynamism to the overall piece!
Purchasing the two-figure set, which includes Rathalos Ver.2.0, from e-Capcom comes with a bonus nest containing golden and silver eggs!
