Japan's SEGA Games company, under its SEGA Prize brand, will release a new product in its "Chokonose Premium" series themed after "Rebuild of Evangelion"—the "Shikinami Asuka Langley" sitting figure. It is scheduled for release as a prize item in December 2025!
In the New Theatrical Edition, Asuka appears under the name "Shikinami Asuka Langley," following the anti-NERV organization "WILLE" led by Misato Katsuragi, and continues to serve as the pilot of Evangelion Unit-02. In "Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time," it was revealed that she, like Rei Ayanami, is a created Eligible.
This Chokonose Premium Asuka, like the previously announced "Shinji Ikari" and "Rei Ayanami," is released to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the "Neon Genesis Evangelion" TV anime broadcast. It features Asuka in her school uniform, sculpted in a relaxed sitting pose. The sculpting faithfully reproduces the wrinkles and details of the uniform. The forward-leaning posture and flowing orange hair add a strong sense of dynamism to the overall piece, and the slightly parted eyes, as drawn by Yoshiyuki Sadamoto, are faithfully reproduced through printing. This simply and precisely captures the charm of Asuka's everyday appearance!
