This toy has been in my possession for some time, and it wasn't until recently that I found the time to quickly play with it. It's truly excellent!
For this Black Spider-Man, the absolute highlight is undoubtedly the Peter Parker head sculpt. The manufacturer has truly captured the malevolent aura from when Venom possessed him — it's superb! Coupled with the included Venom effect parts, it genuinely exudes a sense of madness. Looking closely at Peter's eyes, they are filled with resentment and frenzy, a complete departure from his usual gentle demeanor.
There are several Venom effect parts; one that attaches to the arm is a bit prone to falling off. Therefore, exercise caution when posing to prevent it from dropping.
Another part is quite heavy and attaches to the upper body. This is Venom's head, complete with its long tongue, which is genuinely a bit terrifying and can be easily detached.
This accessory has several attachment points. Due to concerns about scratching the outer suit, extreme care must be taken during posing!
We can either place it on Peter's head or have him face it as an adversary, an arrangement that is quite interesting.
Another version simply attaches around the head; this one is fine and not too heavy.
Because the head sculpt is so outstanding, when swapped with the Spider-Man masked head, it loses some of that frenzied intensity; the overall look becomes too serious. Therefore, posing it without the mask offers a more unique experience.
Furthermore, the display base is also excellent, depicting the classic church rooftop. If there were a giant bell of the correct size (I know I might be asking for too much), it would be even more fun... There are many ways to pose with the base; I didn't try any flying poses, simply standing him on it, and I found that to be quite thrilling already!
As for the web effects, they are as excellent as always, with both the multi-strand and dual-strand firing options being very good.
Overall, this is an outstanding piece and well worth acquiring and posing (especially for those who don't yet own a Black Suit Spider-Man; it's a worthwhile purchase, if only for the head sculpt, which alone makes it regret-free).
