The world-renowned TV and film special effects company WETA Workshop recently unveiled a timeless masterpiece commemorating the 75th anniversary of Peanuts in 2025: the "SNOOPY: FIRST BEAGLE ON THE MOON" bronze statue! It is currently available for pre-order on the WETA official website, priced at US$4,999, and limited to 75 pieces worldwide.

To discuss the relationship between Peanuts, Snoopy, and NASA, one must start in the 1960s. After NASA experienced a tragic accident during a lunar mission test in 1967, which resulted in the loss of three astronauts, they decided in 1968 to collaborate with Peanuts creator "Charles M. Schulz" to establish the Silver Snoopy Award. The purpose was to recognize individuals and organizations that contributed to aerospace safety. Snoopy was chosen because he is a dog full of dreams and passion, brave enough to challenge the unknown; in the 1969 Apollo 10 mission, the command module and lunar module were even named Charlie Brown and Snoopy, respectively.

This time, WETA has created a truly timeless Snoopy bronze statue to celebrate this momentous 75th anniversary. Dressed in a spacesuit, Snoopy stands proudly on the moon, accompanied by Woodstock. The crater-filled lunar surface is meticulously rendered. This hand-sculpted piece simultaneously showcases minimalist aesthetic beauty and classic coloration, making it truly impressive for display!
