World-renowned Hong Kong toy brand Hot Toys today (14th) announced its latest product, the "Nightwing" 1/6th scale collectible figure, from the classic DC video game "Batman: Arkham Knight," which many collectors have likely been eagerly anticipating! It is expected to ship from Q4 2025 to Q1 2026, with a suggested retail price of HKD 1,730. In addition to being a SIDESHOW exclusive item, 200 sets will also be available for limited sale in Hong Kong.
Nightwing, in the DC universe, is Batman's first Robin, originally named "Dick Grayson," the youngest member of the Flying Graysons family. Like Bruce Wayne, he witnessed the death of his parents at a young age and was powerless to stop it. As an orphan, he was eventually adopted by Bruce. After learning that his adoptive father's other identity was "Batman," the dark knight hero protecting Gotham, Dick became the first Robin, Batman's capable assistant and a non-blood-related family member. Even after eventually leaving Bruce to become the independent crime-fighter Nightwing, he still assists Batman in times of crisis.
This Nightwing figure, crafted according to the "Batman: Arkham Knight" design, stands approximately 31 cm tall and features 30 points of articulation. It utilizes flexible, leather-like fabric to create the form-fitting black battle suit, with surface textures delicately rendered through a drip-glue process. The blue armor on the chest, shoulders, and limbs features a special paint application that exhibits a dazzling iridescent effect under different lighting conditions, which is quite intriguing. Accessories include his iconic melee weapons, the Escrima Sticks, blue effect parts to simulate electrical discharge, a grappling gun, a grappling hook with wire that can be attached to the gun barrel, and multiple interchangeable hands. The Escrima Sticks can also be disassembled and combined to display more varied combat poses.
