Japanese company FuRyu announced a new product under its official prize brand, FuRyu Prize, on its X account: the "Kumakichi-kun Arrested by Police" crossbody pouch, themed after the classic gag anime "Gag Manga Biyori." It will be available in two styles, A and B, and is scheduled for release as a prize item in December 2025!
"Gag Manga Biyori" is a work by Japanese manga artist Kousuke Masuda, serialized in "Monthly Shonen Jump" starting in 2000, and later in "Jump Square" until its conclusion in 2015 after the former ceased publication. The work has also been adapted into a TV anime five times since 2005, with its various absurd comedic segments always bringing laughter! "Detective Usami" is definitely one of the most memorable chapters, and to this day, Kumakichi and Usami remain active online as memes!
This prize item transforms one of the series' most famous memes—"Kumakichi-kun Arrested by Police"—into a crossbody pouch, bringing Kumakichi's iconic handcuffed arrest scene to life!
