The annual toy extravaganza: the 2025 Bandai Plamo Exhibition, has officially kicked off at the Huashan Taipei venue! The event will run for one week, showcasing numerous super-popular new anime model products. Attendees will also get a glimpse of this year's hottest PGU RX-93 ν Gundam, offering a close-up look at the ultimate Nu Gundam. Now, let's follow a fan's perspective and take a simple tour of what exciting treasures this touring exhibition holds!
▼After enduring the scorching heat outside and a long queue, we finally made it into the cool exhibition hall.
▼The first thing that catches the eye is Bandai's recently heavily promoted 30MF series.
▼The Dragon Knight, slated for release at the end of the year, boasts a truly captivating design.
▼The base body structure is simple, allowing for unique playstyles by swapping out various job-specific armor parts.
▼With imagination and some New Taiwan Dollars, you can infinitely expand the fantastical world of 30MF.
▼Moving to the adjacent display case, we find the main battleground for 30MM.
▼In collaboration with "Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon," multiple heavy-duty mechs have been released.
▼Although not massive in size, the rich armor details significantly enhance the sense of realism.
▼Just a few steps away, you can immediately admire the creative mixed-and-matched works by skilled builders.
▼The 30MS Idolmaster Tower is truly magnificent.
▼Next, we arrive at the Pokémon PLAMO Collection display cabinet.
▼With excellent part separation design and simple sticker detailing, Pokémon come to life right before your eyes.
▼Next to it is the universally loved Quick Build Collection, though it's a shame the Slowpoke Human Centipede wasn't displayed this year
▼By removing articulated structures, the Pokémon's appearance can be more natural and even cuter/dorkier~
▼Continuing to the next stop!
▼Arriving at the home base of Figure-rise Standard, we present the representative Kamen Riders – the 20 Heisei Riders!
▼The latest Ultimate Kuuga and the first Reiwa Rider, ZERO-ONE, usher in a new era and a new chapter.
▼Next door, Ultraman is no slouch when it comes to adopting new technologies.
▼Look! Coral grows from its hands, and soda popsicles shoot from its eyes~
▼Next up is the recently red-hot Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba; one wonders if its box office records can be broken again.
▼Tanjiro, featuring multi-color molding technology combined with pre-painted parts. We look forward to Akaza also being made into a model to recreate the movie's famous scene "I'll cut off your head".
▼Dragon Ball... I'm not too familiar with this one.
▼One Piece... Alright, I'm not familiar with this either, but seeing so many ships lined up like this is still incredibly impressive!
▼Compact in size yet possessing a strong sense of collectible quality.
▼Next up is... wow, it's Digimon!
▼This series truly shines when it's Amplified.
▼Let's take a look around, hey, there are dinosaurs again!
▼The details aren't overly intricate, but it includes a simple skeleton and allows for coloring practice, making it an excellent educational and entertaining material.
▼Jurassic World: Dominion also launched new merchandise in conjunction.
▼The sculpting is more refined, and it comes with a diorama base, though the body patterns still rely on stickers.
▼Turning back, it's a nostalgic favorite for long-time fans – Space Battleship Yamato!
▼The small parts make assembly slightly challenging, but it remains a highly collectible battleship series.
▼The Macross HG product line, featuring easy transformation with interchangeable parts, boasts an increasingly diverse roster.
▼The newly released VF-31J shows improvements in color separation and structural stability compared to the previous 1/72 series.
▼Stepping into robot territory, one certainly cannot miss the Super Robot Wars series.
▼Each model is incredibly cool; it's time for the excitement to boil over!
▼The Yu-Gi-Oh! Three Egyptian God Cards are about to welcome their final God Card.
▼By the way, the golden color of The Winged Dragon of Ra in person is quite stunning.
▼The new releases from the Mashin Hero Wataru series are also fast and numerous.
▼Who wouldn't love these magnificent and cool, short-statured figures?
▼However, when it comes to the "Warrior Poop" model below, loving it truly requires courage.
▼Poop transforming into a Zaku? I can't handle this.
▼You can DIY poop with mold lines; you don't have to try it, but you absolutely must get your friends to experience it.
▼After a dazzling whirlwind tour, we finally behold the 3-meter tall statue of the PGU First Gundam standing before us.

▼Even at this height, it's incredibly impactful; it's hard to imagine how moving the previous Yokohama Gundam exhibition must have been.
▼Of course, we must also review each year's RX-78-2 models.
▼The MGSD Aerial Gundam, releasing this week, is definitely worth a closer look.
▼Its physique is incredibly robust, and the shield is disproportionately massive.
▼The internal frame of the Aerial, making its debut, features engravings that differ from the plated parts used in FM, resulting in a distinct texture.
▼However, pre-orders sold out instantly. Even if you want to buy it later, it will be impossible to find. Such is fate.
▼On the other hand, this "Big Head Model-kun" series is cute and not difficult to acquire. Highly recommended!
▼Finally, we arrive at the main event, the biggest highlight of this special exhibition: PG UNLEASHED ν Gundam
▼It's hard to believe that nearly five years have passed since the PGU RX-78-2 Gundam, which spearheaded a new revolution in internal frame design, was first released.
▼Although there's no lighting unit display effect, seeing the actual model in person still leaves one in awe (not scannable).
▼If only the maintenance hatches could be further opened to reveal more of the internal frame details, it would be a feast for the eyes!
▼Compared to the PGU RX-78-2 Gundam, the outer armor is much more restrained, leaning closer to the style of the RG ν Gundam.
▼The sturdy calves feature yellow parts that currently appear to be electroplated.
▼The exposed silver sections have a somewhat pronounced water ripple effect. It's uncertain whether a spray-plated finish will be added later.
▼The internal frame details of the shield are quite good, though compared to the RX-78-2 Gundam, it appears flatter, lacking a bit of three-dimensionality.
▼The six massive Fin Funnels on the back feature numerous additional color separations and many raised mechanical details.
▼A support part needs to be inserted at the bottom; its inherently asymmetrical design necessitates this remedy.
▼Finally, here's a pair of pilots, Amuro and Chan. I still think Sayla has a better figure (smack!).
▼To witness such a monumental Gundam model in person is truly remarkable. We eagerly await the day its arch-rival, Sazabi, also makes its debut.
▼This year's most talked-about GQuuuuuuX is, of course, present.
▼Running amidst sparkling particles~
▼Although the hype has somewhat subsided since the anime concluded, popular models remain difficult to acquire.
▼Thief fighting police XD
▼Gundam truly feels right when it's white.
▼The three-legged Dom will be available next month.
▼The classic UC Mobile Suit Z Gundam, with a comprehensive lineup of anime units also released.
▼The massive Psycho Gundam Mk-II exudes an overwhelming sense of presence with every movement.
▼Despite the spin-off theatrical film for the Iron-Blooded Orphans series premiering in October, surprisingly few new products have been released.
▼The long-awaited MG Gundam Barbatos Lupus, after years of anticipation, is only displayed as a concept board to whet your appetite.
▼The newly released RG G Gundam, from "Mobile Fighter G Gundam," is making a grand entrance, painting the East in a glorious golden hue.
▼The Base-exclusive RG God Gundam "Tycoon Mode" – you can practically smell the money through the glass!
▼The highly popular "Gundam Wing" also celebrates its 30th anniversary.
▼The RG Wing Gundam Zero (TV Version), releasing next month, can finally be paired with the lonely Gundam Epyon.
▼And finally, the grand finale of this model exhibition: a pair of sneaker model kits!
▼The texture and patterns of leather and fabric are so realistic, it's hard to believe they're actually made of plastic.
▼We absolutely recommend visiting in person to witness Bandai's incredible molding technology firsthand – it's definitely worth the price of admission (even though admission is free...).
▼The exhibition tour officially concludes here. Of course, there were also many limited-edition items on display for purchase consideration.
▼However, most popular items were already sold out, so at least my wallet was successfully saved.
▼Don't forget to fill out the survey and claim a small gift before you leave. Until next year's annual model exhibition – see ya!
