Bandai Co., Ltd. of Japan, known for its popular tokusatsu and kaiju-themed soft vinyl toy series 『MOVIE MONSTER』, has announced the latest product from the movie "Godzilla vs. Destoroyah", "Destoroyah (Flying Form)", scheduled for release on August 25, 2025. This product is a GODZILLA STORE exclusive item.
Destoroyah was originally a microscopic crustacean that lived in an oxygen-free environment 2.5 billion years ago. In 1954, Dr. Serizawa used the "Oxygen Destroyer" to kill the first Godzilla, but this also awakened Destoroyah, which had been dormant in ancient strata, and gradually mutated into a creature adapted to oxygen. After exposure to oxygen, it gradually mutated from its original 2-5 millimeters into larvae nearly 2 meters long, and could further aggregate and evolve into "Aggregate Forms." Later, by absorbing Godzilla Junior's DNA and power plant energy, it mutated and evolved into a perfect form over 200 meters tall. Its colossal figure resembled a terrifying demon, and its powerful beam could cut through Godzilla's skin. Its only weakness was extremely low-temperature freezing rays.
The "MOVIE MONSTER Destoroyah (Flying Form)" is a non-articulated soft vinyl model, approximately 22 cm in length. It meticulously recreates the "Flying Form" from the film, which possesses flight capabilities, reproducing its characteristic massive wings, high-density spikes on its carapace, and using color applications to depict the varying shades of its red carapace, wing membranes, and eyes, among other detailed color separations.
