BANDAI CANDY, the Shokugan division of Bandai Co., Ltd. Japan, is launching a new product featuring the classic popular IP "Ocha-ken" (お茶犬) – the "Ocha-ken Cup-Shaped Storage Case." The suggested retail price is 528 JPY per box, with an estimated release in January 2026!
"Ocha-ken" is a healing character series jointly developed by SEGA Toys and Horipro in 2002, aimed at relieving fatigue for modern people stressed by daily work. A TV anime was released in 2006, and it has collaborated with numerous manufacturers, including McDonald's, to launch various merchandise. It's surely a childhood memory for many toy enthusiasts from the 90s and 2000s!
This "Ocha-ken Cup-Shaped Storage Case" comes with one soda-flavored chewing gum and a storage case approximately 6 cm tall, featuring Ocha-ken peeking out from a teacup. Six styles are available: Green Tea-ken Midori, Flower Tea-ken Hana, Milk Tea-ken Chai, Black Tea-ken Earl, Oolong Tea-ken Ron, and Coffee-ken Cafe. After removing the Ocha-ken figure from the cup, small items like paper clips can be stored inside.
