BANDAI SPIRITS' collector's toy division, TAMASHII NATIONS, has officially unveiled a new product from its "PROPLICA" series, which faithfully recreates various anime and manga props in high-quality 1:1 scale. This new item, the "Nichirin Blade (Shinobu Kocho)," is based on the popular film "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie - The Infinity Castle Arc Part 1: Akaza's Assault." It will have a suggested retail price of 22,000 JPY and is scheduled for release in June 2026!
"Insect Hashira" Shinobu Kocho is the only member of the Demon Slayer Corps unable to decapitate demons with her own strength. However, she integrates her mastery of pharmacology and toxicology into her fighting style. Her Nichirin Blade is crafted with a slender blade and a barbed tip. When the blade is sheathed, the proportion of toxins on the Nichirin Blade can be altered, allowing her to poison opponents to death with potent venom during combat!
This PROPLICA release faithfully recreates Shinobu Kocho's Nichirin Blade from the film in a 1:1 scale, based on her height. Measuring approximately 88 cm in length, it meticulously reproduces the slender, curved shape of the hooked blade under official supervision, making it the thinnest blade ever crafted in the PROPLICA Nichirin Blade series! The blade's overall color features a sophisticated dark metallic hue, with metallic silver on the tip and belly highlighting the Nichirin Blade's sharpness. The "滅殺" (Metsusatsu - Slay/Destroy) inscription on the side of the blade is also exquisitely reproduced with detailed paintwork!
The tsuba (handguard) features a molded color to replicate its golden frame, with metallic blue paintwork and intricate sculpting to reproduce the embossed details of butterflies in flight. The scabbard boasts a matte texture complemented by golden paintwork, resulting in an utterly magnificent appearance when sheathed, perfect for display with its dedicated stand!
The blade features a built-in sound device that plays Nichirin Blade sound effects and Shinobu Kocho's dialogue from both the TV anime and the theatrical film. In addition to the sound playback buttons found in previous Nichirin Blade series, this model also includes a dedicated "Insect Breathing" button, as well as newly added mechanisms for detecting when the blade is sheathed or drawn, and a vibration mechanism, all of which significantly enhance the immersive power when handling the prop!
