Japan's PLEX company, under its X-PLUS company's "Real Master Collection (リアルマスターコレクション)" series, has announced the latest product from the kaiju film masterpiece "Gamera 3: Revenge of Iris": the "FAVORITE SCULPTORS LINE Iris: Advent of the Evil God" pre-painted complete figure. The suggested retail price is 89,980 JPY, with an estimated release in December 2025.
The great kaiju Iris, who appears as Gamera's main adversary in the film, was anciently known as the evil god "Ryuseicho" (柳星張). It is a mysterious life form said to bring about the destruction of the world, and thus was sealed in egg form within a deep mountain shrine in Minami Asuka Village, Japan. The girl "Ayana Hirasaka," seeking revenge against Gamera for the death of her parents, unsealed it. She named it "Iris" after her deceased pet cat and attempted bio-fusion with it. However, an accident caused Iris to undergo explosive self-evolution, transforming into a 99-meter-tall humanoid kaiju.
The "FAVORITE SCULPTORS LINE Iris: Advent of the Evil God," which commercializes famous sculptors' GK (Garage Kit) models as complete figures, uses a prototype created by Tanaka Museum Studio. It recreates the scene of the evil god's advent with an incredibly powerful size, featuring a wingspan of 108 cm and a height of 74 cm! Primarily made of PUR material, it extensively reproduces the original prototype's details, meticulously depicting the sharp exoskeleton on Iris's head and back. The robust muscle lines and carapace patterns across its entire body are sculpted with a strong sense of biological realism. The blue glowing orbs on its wing membranes and chest/abdomen are rendered with gradient paintwork to create a luminous visual effect!
The Shonen RIC Limited version includes a built-in lighting device, exquisitely and beautifully showcasing Iris's divine form—descending, cloaked in wings of light!
