The "40769 Sega Genesis Game Controller", which was previously leaked online and has excited countless LEGO and video game fans, is finally arriving! LEGO Certified Stores in Taiwan officially announced the acquisition details for this Gift-With-Purchase (GWP) today (the 1st)! Let's take a look.
About the Sega Genesis Game Controller
The original SEGA Genesis controller, released in 1988, featured a three-button design, which was later upgraded to a six-button configuration in 1993 to meet the demands of fighting games. The controller's curves and grip were designed with an emphasis on "ergonomics" to enhance comfort during long play sessions. The six-button design offered greater operational freedom and was favored by many players for its comfortable feel, especially in fighting games. The evolution from three to six buttons symbolized a major innovation in the 16-bit console era. The six-button controller not only improved the operating experience but also became the foundation for the subsequent SEGA Saturn standard controller.
According to information released by LEGO Certified Stores in Taiwan, during the period of September 8-27, 2025, a single purchase of NT$4,610 (including specified Gaming series) sets will qualify you to receive this super awesome home console Sega Genesis controller model for free!
