Bandai Spirits' 'Godzilla Action Figure' series, featuring poseable toys based on the Godzilla theme, has announced its latest product from 'Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla: Tokyo S.O.S.', the 'Type-3 Kiryu (Modified) Heavy Armament Type', slated for release on September 27, 2025.
Appearing in the film 'Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla: Tokyo S.O.S.', the Mechagodzilla known as 'Type-3 Kiryu Modified Heavy Armament Type' is a repaired version of the 'Type-3 Kiryu' from the previous film 'Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla', which was constructed using the bones of the original Godzilla. While its damaged right arm was replaced with the transformable drill 'Spiral Claw', its most powerful chest weapon, the 'Absolute Zero Cannon', was abandoned due to excessive budget. In its place, it is equipped with armaments such as a large-caliber triple-barrel hyper-microwave cannon, a new backpack, and a Type-4 electromagnetic railgun.
The 'Godzilla Action Figure Type-3 Kiryu (Modified) Heavy Armament Type' stands approximately 15 cm tall. It meticulously recreates the suit's appearance from the film with precise sculpting and paintwork, reproducing the rich details on its silver-white armor. The figure boasts 16 points of articulation throughout its body. The backpack and armaments mounted on its back are detachable, allowing it to be displayed in its high-mobility form, and its right hand can replicate the 'Spiral Claw' through interchangeable parts.
