Following "Dover Demon" and "Chiquitita," Megahouse, a Japanese toy company, has unveiled a new themed product in its "Occultic Soft Vinyl Collection" series, which brings the UMA (Unidentified Mysterious Animal) characters from the popular anime "Dandadan" to life. The new item is the "Turbo Granny (Maneki-Neko) Ver.2" soft vinyl figure, with a reference price of 5,500 JPY and an estimated release in late May 2026!
Turbo Granny, also known as "100-Kilometer Granny," lurks in a tunnel at a popular spiritual hotspot in Seino City, caring for the vengeful spirits of several young girls. When Okarun went there to test his courage, she cursed him and stole his testicles. After the Seino City incident, her consciousness was transferred by Seiko into a Maneki-Neko doll. Reluctantly, she assists Okarun and his group in searching for the lost testicles to regain her freedom.
Following the previous second installment of the series, "Turbo Granny (Maneki-Neko)," which adopted the Maneki-Neko prototype, this "Turbo Granny (Maneki-Neko) Ver.2" features Turbo Granny, possessed by the Maneki-Neko, holding Okarun's golden testicles. The sculpt faithfully recreates the adorable two-head-tall design, and the printing captures her comically disdainful expression. Metallic paint is used to reproduce the gold texture of the "Man-ryo" (ten million ryo) coin printed on her chest and Okarun's testicles, vividly bringing Turbo Granny's in-story appearance to life!
