KOTOBUKIYA, the popular Japanese model manufacturer, has announced the latest product in its large-scale 'GRANDE SCALE' series, "Baselard," from the popular mecha girl model kit series 'Frame Arms Girl,' slated for release in December 2025.
The prototype for the Frame Arms Girl "Baselard" originates from the aerial combat type Frame Arms of the same name, designed by Takayuki Yanase. She is an innocent girl with long golden hair and a petite physique, featuring "bunny girl" characteristics in her head antennae and costume design. Baselard excels in aerial combat; her back-mounted armaments not only allow for high-mobility flight but also possess powerful beam weapons. In the anime version, Baselard's personality is even more distinct: she is innocent, knowledgeable, and can be as willful as a child, making her one of the mischievous instigators.
The "Frame Arms Girl GRANDE SCALE Baselard" re-designs the part sizes based on the CAD data of the standard version, enlarging the overall height from the original 15 cm to 25 cm, approaching a 1/6 human scale. Compared to the standard size, it is not only easier to assemble and paint, but also features increased part separation and color division for some components, enhancing playability and convenience for assembly and painting. More importantly, the larger size allows for a better display of Baselard's cute bunny girl-style body and cool aerial combat armaments.
Accessories include 3 different pre-painted face parts and 6 pairs of interchangeable hand parts with various poses. The full body armaments connect via a common 5mm axis, and unarmored leg replacement parts are included, allowing for free assembly and disassembly to recreate both the bunny girl form (body only) and the armed form. The flexible articulation design throughout the body enables posing in cute everyday scenes and cool combat stances. Additionally, the accessories include 5mm to 3mm conversion parts, allowing for free customization with other KOTOBUKIYA model kits sold separately.
