BANPRESTO, a prize brand under Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS company, which issues the "Chinzashu" series of monster-themed sitting soft vinyl figures combining cool and cute designs, has announced the latest product from the movie "Godzilla Minus One": "Godzilla (2023) NAMCO Limited ver.", scheduled for release on September 13, 2025. This product will be exclusively available at NAMCO game centers.
Godzilla (2023), as it appears in "Godzilla Minus One", was originally an ancient creature resembling a dinosaur, 15 meters tall, inhabiting the deep seas around Odo Island, known by local residents as "Gojira". However, in 1946, after World War II, nuclear tests conducted by the US military near Bikini Atoll caused Gojira to mutate and grow into a 50-meter tall Godzilla. Its exaggerated regenerative abilities allowed it to recover instantly even after being shelled by warships, and it could emit nuclear-bomb-level high-power heat rays from its mouth.
The "Chinzashu Godzilla (2023) NAMCO Limited ver." is a modification based on the previously released ver.2. It features a cute, low-proportioned Godzilla (2023) with a height of approximately 12 cm, meticulously detailing its characteristic rough skin texture and head scar. The color scheme has been adjusted to release two versions: the "Movie Poster Color," which depicts widespread destruction amidst flames, and the "Ginza Landing Color," shrouded in yellow dust.
