Max Factory, the Japanese figure manufacturer behind the popular figma action figure brand, is set to release a new product from the hit anime "My Dress-Up Darling"—the "Marin Kitagawa" action figure. This highly anticipated collectible will retail for 9,900 JPY and is slated for release in June 2026!
"My Dress-Up Darling" is a manga series by Shinichi Fukuda, which began serialization in "Young Gangan" in 2018. CloverWorks adapted it into a television anime in 2022. The heartwarming story follows Wakana Gojo, a high school student who loves making Hina dolls due to his grandfather's influence, as he unexpectedly begins creating cosplay outfits for his enthusiastic classmate, Marin Kitagawa. The original manga recently concluded its run, and the second season of the anime is also wrapping up next weekend. It seems fans will soon be back to days without Marin!
This figma Marin Kitagawa stands approximately 14.5 cm tall, capturing Marin in her iconic high school uniform. The figure faithfully recreates her slender, elegant physique, with meticulously sculpted details like the tied bow at her waist, her tie, and the uniform's natural creases. Her multiple earrings, choker, bracelet, and rings are also exquisitely reproduced. Marin's signature pink gradient hair is precisely painted and features an articulated joint mid-length to minimize any impact on posing flexibility. Accessories include two interchangeable face plates—one with a cheerful "Love It!" expression and another winking—three pairs of interchangeable hands, a school bag adorned with adorable Shizuku-tan merchandise, and a hand part specifically designed for holding a smartphone, perfect for recreating her cute selfie poses!
Furthermore, fans who pre-order the figure directly from the Good Smile Company website will receive an exclusive bonus face plate featuring a charming squinting smile, adding even more display variety to this fantastic release!
