The S.H.Figuarts Shinkocchou Seihou action figure series, released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collectible toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd., following the "Wing-Man," is once again launching a new product based on the TV drama "Wing-Man"—the "Wing-Man Guarder Silhouette" action figure. It has a suggested retail price of 12,100 JPY and is scheduled for release in March 2026!
"Wing-Man" is a manga series by cartoonist Masakazu Katsura, serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" from 1983 to 1985. In 2024, a live-action TV drama of the same name was released to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the "Wing-Man" manga. It tells the story of Kenta Hirono, a middle school student who yearns to be a transforming hero. He accidentally draws his fictional character "Wing-Man" in a "Dream Note" from another dimension, gaining the ability to transform into Wing-Man and fight monsters from another world.
For this Wing-Man Guarder Silhouette action figure, special guest actor Ryoma Hashizume, who portrays Wing-Man in the drama, underwent a full-body 3D scan. Combined with the actual combat suit used for filming in the series, the acquired data has been meticulously recreated into a precise three-dimensional sculpt. Utilizing the Shinkocchou Seihou technique, which sculpts outward from the muscles to the costume, it faithfully reproduces Wing-Man's enhanced form from the series, where he attaches airborne particles to his body to form armor. The intricate details of the mask and armor are delicately carved, and with transparent parts and silver paintwork, the figure perfectly recreates its on-screen appearance at an approximate height of 14.5 cm!
The accessories once again include the long sword Chromed Sword, the Dream Note filled with various settings, and a rich selection of interchangeable right hand parts, allowing for the recreation of dynamic battle poses from the series with its flexible articulation!
