BANDAI SPIRITS HOBBY Division in Japan has announced the latest collaborative product, "ARQUEBUS CORPORATION VP-40S Locksmith," from its original plastic model kit series '30 MINUTES MISSIONS,' known for its easy assembly and customizable features, in partnership with 'Armored Core VI Fires of Rubicon.' It is scheduled for release in March 2026.
'Armored Core VI Fires of Rubicon' is the latest installment in the 'Armored Core' series, developed by From Software after a decade-long hiatus. The story is set on the remote planet "Rubicon 3," where humanity discovered a mysterious new substance called "Coral." While initially believed to be a new energy source that would greatly advance technology, it instead brought about a devastating catastrophe that consumed the entire star system. Nearly a century later, the terrifying "Coral" has become a target of contention for extraterrestrial corporations and resistance groups. Players will once again assume the role of "Raven," a mercenary piloting a mech, to infiltrate Rubicon and delve deeper into the heart of this conflict.
The "ARQUEBUS CORPORATION VP-40S Locksmith" released in the 30MM series is the AC piloted by V. I. Freud, the chief captain of the "Vesper" squad in the game. The kit leverages the 30MM series' signature features of easy assembly and free customization to create a plastic model kit that meticulously reproduces the AC's design, which combines components from its own Arquebus Corporation and the rival Balam Industries. It boasts a rich variety of molded part colors and high-density detail.
Including the core and arm parts manufactured by Arquebus Corporation, and the head and leg parts manufactured by Balam Industries, all are produced with the series' common structural design, allowing for free customization just like in the game. The armaments include the "RF-024 TURNER" Assault Rifle, "Vvc-770LB" Laser Blade, "SB-033M MORLEY" Spread Bazooka, and "Vvc-700LD" Laser Drone. These can be equipped to the left and right hands, and left and right shoulders respectively. Notably, the Laser Blade utilizes effect parts to recreate its powerful, massive blade.
