The Last Heavy Metal Tango? ROBOT SPIRITS Side AC Armored Core VI Fires of Rubicon EL-PC-00 STEEL HAZE ORTUS

Armored Core VI - Firesof Rubicon

The story unfolds on a fictional distant planet named "Rubicon 3," where a mysterious substance called Coral is discovered. Coral can be used as an energy source, but it also triggered a catastrophe that engulfed the planet and surrounding stars in flames. Nevertheless, Coral continues to attract various corporations and resistance organizations vying for its ownership. Players take on the role of an independent mercenary, piloting self-assembled mechs, engaging in various missions on the battlefield, and gradually approaching the core of the incident's truth.

STEEL HAZE ORTUS

This is the successor AC piloted by V.IV Rusty, protagonist C4-621's comrade-in-arms, in certain ending routes of the game. It utilizes the new "ALBA" frame, developed by the "Elcano" corporation with technology provided by extraterrestrial enterprises. Compared to the previous STEEL HAZE, its appearance is completely different, and its performance has been significantly enhanced, making it even more adept at one-on-one close-quarters combat.

My love for Armored Core is no less than any other player's!

Beyond the wide range of articulation unique to ROBOT SPIRITS, the "EL-PC-00 ALBA STEEL HAZE ORTUS / Rusty," which pursues form, color, and articulation, has been brought to life. Standing approximately 14 cm tall, its articulated specifications perfectly reproduce the design by mechanical designer Takayuki Yanase, meticulously carving out extremely high-density mechanical details, rich panel lines, and grooves on the armor. Various matte and metallic colors are applied to differentiate parts such as the armor, frame, and sensors, making the detail expression even more spectacular.

Accessories include interchangeable left and right hand parts, Needle Gun, Needle Missile, Needle Missile deployment parts, Laser Slicer, Laser Slicer (deployed), Laser Slicer effect parts, Core expansion parts, Solid Ammo Orbit storage state, Solid Ammo Orbit deployment parts, and TAMASHII STAGE connection parts. In terms of specifications, it's practically on the level of a Metal Robot Spirits! The main body is fully painted, with black, white, and blue as its primary colors. Most joints are metal, and the weapons are as abundant as in the game. It can also be interchanged with other ACs in the same series to increase playability! I truly have no complaints about its appearance!

However, the biggest issue is that its thumbs are extremely thin, making them very easy to break. Another regrettable point is the limited number of interchangeable posed hands! Although some joints are made of metal, the shoulder joints are noticeably looser compared to other joints! That's all!

I have reason to believe that STEEL HAZE might be the last entry in the Side AC series...
