Japanese model manufacturer MEGAHOUSE has announced that the latest product in their large-scale monster statue series 'UA Monsters', featuring light and sound effects, will be "Godzilla (1962) Battle at Mt. Fuji Foothills Ver." from the movie "King Kong vs. Godzilla," scheduled for release in late March 2026.

Released in 1962, "King Kong vs. Godzilla" was a commemorative work for Toho Co., Ltd.'s 30th anniversary. It secured official licensing from RKO Pictures, allowing the classic American monster "King Kong" to battle the Japanese King of the Monsters "Godzilla" in the film. Unlike the anti-nuclear themes embedded in the original "Godzilla," this film focused entirely on the fierce battle between Godzilla and King Kong, interspersed with many humorous scenes, providing audiences with a distinct entertainment experience. This led to the highest box office attendance in the Godzilla series' history.
"UA Monsters Godzilla (1962) Battle at Mt. Fuji Foothills Ver." is a modified version based on the previously released standard edition. The sculpt faithfully recreates the suit's characteristic heavy, triangular silhouette and the reptilian facial features with a mouth split to the ears. It has been re-applied with a heavily dust-covered weathering paint application, depicting its appearance during the decisive battle with King Kong at the foothills of Mount Fuji in the film. Regarding the light and sound effects, this version can also emit blue light from its mouth and dorsal fins, showcasing its atomic breath attack, and now includes the classic BGM "Godzilla's Rebirth" for playback. More detailed product information will be announced at a later date.
