PLEX Co., Ltd. of Japan, with X-PLUS Co., Ltd. as distributor, has announced the latest product from their finished model series, "Daikaiju Series," which features heroes and monsters from Japanese tokusatsu works. The new item, "ULTRA NEW GENERATION FAVORITE SCULPTORS LINE Gatanothor," from "Ultraman Tiga," is scheduled for release in February 2026. This product will be simultaneously released as a regular edition for general retail and a limited edition for official designated channels.
Appearing at the end of the series, Ultraman Tiga's final enemy, Gatanothor, is an evil god that destroyed the ultra-ancient civilization 30 million years ago. Known as the "Dark Ruler" who plunged the world into darkness, it possesses a colossal body with a total length of 200 meters. Its powerful offensive and defensive capabilities not only completely overwhelmed Tiga's combat and beam techniques, but the dark mist it emitted could also corrode Tiga's skin, cause contact lifeforms to die, and halt electronic equipment, ultimately engulfing the entire Earth and leading to the demise of human civilization.
For this release of "Gatanothor," the Chinese sculptor group "Monster Factory" was invited to handle the prototype production. It features a powerful evil god pose with an impressive size of approximately 34 cm in height and 62 cm in total length. The terrifying design, which combines elements of Cthulhu Mythos and ancient marine creatures like ammonites, is meticulously sculpted. From its menacing, inverted head and the ultra-dense pores on its top shell to its massive lower body claws and countless tentacles, every detail is brought to life. It can be displayed alongside the separately sold "Daikaiju Series Ultraman Tiga Ver.2."
The difference between the "Limited Edition" and the Regular Edition is that the Limited Edition model features an internal LED lighting device, allowing its twin eyes to emit a calamitous red glow when illuminated.
