Gundam Base Limited Gunpla "MG 1/100 Hyaku-Shiki Ver.2.0 [Mechanical Core Plating]" Combines Clear Parts and Inner Silver Vapor Deposition for a Unique Texture!

Japan's official "Mobile Suit Gundam" Gunpla flagship store, GUNDAM BASE, has officially announced detailed information for the latest limited product from "Mobile Suit Z Gundam", the "MG 1/100 Hyaku-Shiki Ver.2.0 [Mechanical Core Plating]", which will be available for sale at various stores starting October 25, 2025.

In the series, the MSN-00100 Hyaku-Shiki, piloted by Quattro Bajeena (Char), was originally a transformable mobile suit with the development codename "δ Gundam" within the "Z Project" jointly developed by the anti-Federation organization "AEUG" and Anaheim Electronics. However, during testing, it was found that the movable frame could not withstand the stress from the transformation system, and the transformation mechanism was ultimately canceled. After redesigning the mobile suit structure using a "movable frame," its performance was still outstanding for its era. The Gundarium alloy armor was treated with an anti-beam coating, forming the machine's most distinctive "golden armor." Although the anti-beam effect was ordinary, its appearance was very cool.

The "MG 1/100 Hyaku-Shiki Ver.2.0 [Mechanical Core Plating]" is a modification of the previously released regular version. The original champagne gold plated exterior armor has been changed to clear parts, with silver vapor deposition applied to the inner surface of the parts to bring out the detailed molding. This creates a special style that combines transparent luster and metallic texture to represent the Hyaku-Shiki's golden armor. In addition, the product's outer box features a new design with a large golden print of the Hyaku-Shiki's line art, exuding an extremely luxurious feel.

Other specifications are essentially the same as the regular version, featuring a precisely sculpted movable frame design, recreating the "movable frame" piping on the back and wrists, and hydraulic rod designs on the calves. The interlocking mechanism between the frame and armor also provides articulation close to that of a human body. Weapon accessories include a Clay Bazooka, Beam Rifle, and two Beam Sabers. When not in use, the Beam Rifle and Clay Bazooka can be mounted on either side of the backpack, and the Beam Saber hilts can be stored in the rear skirt armor.
