A new addition to the "Onigiri Assembly Model" series from Japanese model manufacturer StudioSYUTO has arrived! They are releasing the classic "Sekihan" (red bean rice), a staple for celebratory occasions. It has a suggested retail price of 1,870 JPY and is scheduled for release in March 2026!
The SYUTO "Onigiri Assembly Model Sekihan" is a 1/1 scale assembly model featuring an impressive 1776 parts representing sekihan ingredients: red beans, red rice, and black sesame! Players can unleash their creativity by using adhesive to stick together the real rice-grain-sized parts, realistically recreating the appearance of a sekihan onigiri. Sekihan, often used in Japanese cultural customs to celebrate a daughter's coming of age, is transformed into a model. It's perfect as a celebratory creation for daughters to experience the joy of model making together and the satisfaction of completion!
