BANDAI SPIRITS Hobby Division, a Japanese company, first unveiled a prototype of the new product "Gekiryujin" from the anime "The King of Braves GaoGaiGar" at the "All Japan Model & Hobby Show" held today. The release date is undecided.
Gekiryujin, appearing in the series, is a combined form of the twin robots Fuuryu and Rairyu, manufactured by the Chinese Academy of Sciences Aerospace and Interstellar Department. The prototypes for the two brothers are a concrete mixer truck and a dump truck, respectively. In addition to being skilled in Tai Chi, they can also attack using wind and thunder, respectively. After combining into Gekiryujin, their powers are united, capable of unleashing the special move "Double Head Dragon," which simultaneously releases wind and thunder energy.
"HG Gekiryujin" continues the design of its predecessor, "HG Choryujin," and can be independently assembled into the two units, Fuuryu and Rairyu. It can also transform to reproduce both robot and vehicle forms, boasting excellent sculpting and articulated joint design. By disassembling and reassembling parts, the "Gekiryujin" form, which combines both aesthetics and articulation, can be achieved!
Furthermore, the four brothers in the series can also perform mix-and-match combinations, allowing HyoRyu and Rairyu to combine into "Genryujin," and Fuuryu and Enryu to combine into "Goryujin." If the mechanisms of Fuuryu and Rairyu completely reuse those of HyoRyu and Enryu, then it would be entirely possible to achieve Genryujin and Goryujin in the HG plastic model product!
