The 1/144 scale Gunpla "HG (High Grade)" series, known for its most diverse range of mobile suits, released by BANDAI SPIRITS HOBBY Division, today at the "All Japan Model & Hobby Show" first exhibited the developing prototype of its latest product, "HG 1/144 Hambrabi (GQ)", from "Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX". The product is scheduled for release in June 2026.

The ORX-139 Hambrabi appearing in the world of "GQuuuuuuX" is a transformable prototype mobile suit developed by the Earth Federation Forces' Gusta Research Institute after the One Year War. Unlike the Hambrabi that appeared in the official history's "Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam", the design of this machine was significantly revamped by designers Ikuto Yamashita and Kim Se-jun. In terms of its setting, due to the divergence in war outcomes, the machine's performance and completeness are inferior to the official history. Especially the transformation system, due to the immature "magnetic coating" technology, led to a significant delay in transformation time, and its transformed state never even appeared in the series.

The "HG 1/144 Hambrabi (GQ)" currently only has its MS form developing prototype exhibited. It faithfully reproduces the slender and sharp body, massive skirt armor, two fixed beam rifles mounted on the back, and wings, etc., based on the anime's design. We can look forward to whether the model will be able to recreate the transformation mechanism that did not appear in the series.
