BANDAI SPIRITS Hobby Division, Japan, which releases the 1/100 scale Gundam plastic model 'MG (Master Grade)' series known for its excellent part separation, internal frame structure, and rich articulation, has announced that the latest product from "Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans," the "MG 1/100 Gundam Barbatos Lupus Expansion Parts Set," will begin pre-orders in November 2025 on the official Bandai online store, PREMIUM BANDAI.
ASW-G-08 Gundam Barbatos Lupus is a new form of Gundam Barbatos, refurbished by Tekkadan after the fierce battle in Edmonton against Gjallarhorn. With technical support from Teiwaz, significant internal and external adjustments were made. It features multiple curved armor plates to reduce impact from hits and is lightweight to enhance mobility. For the "Alaya-Vijnana System," to allow Mikazuki to achieve an even greater man-machine synchronization, past combat data was further analyzed and adjusted, improving overall performance. In addition to close-combat weapons like the Sword Mace and Small Mace, 200mm cannons and rocket launchers can also be added to its arms.
This "MG 1/100 Gundam Barbatos Lupus Expansion Parts Set" is an expansion parts set designed for use with the separately sold "MG 1/100 Gundam Barbatos Lupus" main unit. The contents are expected to include red lightning-shaped "eye glowing effects," blue "aura effects" emanating from the shoulders, and the large weapon "Helm-Wige Reincar's Greatsword," among others. It allows for recreating the incredibly cool pose when it single-handedly fought the massive Mobile Armor "Hashmal."
