Freedom Gundam makes its reappearance with the latest design, showcasing its majestic figure standing tall in Shanghai through the Gundam China Project!!
To commemorate the 3rd anniversary of the Freedom Gundam THE LIFE-SIZED STATUE's completion in Shanghai, it is being re-released as a product with a brand new logo design. Centered around Kira's personal emblem on the left shoulder, it reappears with new markings. Detailed markings and color expression are condensed into its approximately 140mm body. It also utilizes ROBOT SPIRITS' unique articulation, allowing the mobile suit to recreate Freedom Gundam's iconic poses.
The Freedom Gundam statue is located in Shanghai's Pudong New Area, a striking landmark that attracts many anime enthusiasts and tourists. As a 1:1 scale Gundam statue, it showcases exquisite craftsmanship and intricate design, perfectly recreating the mechanical image from the classic anime. The plaza surrounding the statue provides ample viewing space for visitors, perfect for taking photos. At night, the statue appears even more magnificent under the illumination, becoming part of Shanghai's nightscape. Visitors can choose to go in the evening to appreciate the statue's changes under different lighting. In terms of transportation, the statue's location is convenient, close to subway stations and bus routes, making it easy for visitors to reach. It is recommended that visitors check transportation routes in advance to ensure a smooth arrival. The surrounding area features various dining and shopping establishments, where visitors can enjoy meals or purchase souvenirs after their visit. Whether you are an anime fan or a casual tourist, the Freedom Gundam statue offers a unique cultural experience that is well worth a visit.
The main body and appearance quality are decent! Because the packaging has a window, you can pick a perfectly QC'd box before paying, which is quite thoughtful for me! Accessories include 3 types of interchangeable wrist parts for left and right, a beam rifle, a shield, beam sabers ×2, beam saber effect parts ×2, landing gear ×2, and connection parts.
QC is acceptable, and the distinction between gray and white significantly improves the overall visual effect. Articulation is good as usual, but the joints are a bit loose, and prolonged play will definitely lead to "limp" or "soft tendon powder" situations (figurative for loose joints). The weapons are abundant, and the new 3rd-anniversary emblem is very eye-catching. If you're a Seed fan, this more accessible price point is likely a good choice! Buying this is more cost-effective and higher quality than buying the Chogokin version! Of course, if you've visited Shanghai Lalaport, I believe your impression of it will be greatly enhanced!
