Remember that groundbreaking "Red Bean Ice Pop Robot"? This time, BANDAI SPIRITS' Collectors Division TAMASHII NATIONS' popular alloy toy series, Chogokin, is set to amaze you once again! Teaming up with Japanese food company Calbee to create the astonishing Knight King "JagaRico King" (tentative translation, じゃがりこキング)! Scheduled to ship starting May 2026, with a suggested retail price of 13,750 JPY (tax included).
To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Calbee's snack brand JagaRico in 2025, the "JagaRico King" robot, which appears to have an ultimate crispy texture, is born! The product includes the robot and a redesigned JagaRico snack box, featuring the "Chogokin" logo – it looks incredibly cool! The JagaRico King figure stands approximately 12.5 cm tall and can be stored in its packaging box in "JagaRico Mode." After transforming, its "Robot Mode" exudes the majestic aura of a heavily armored knight! However, with its potato chip-style cape and harmlessly cute weapons, it truly becomes more interesting the more you look at it.
The JagaRico King's entire body is predominantly orange, accented with JagaRico brand green and luxurious gold to match its knight setting. Furthermore, potato snack-style paintwork is applied throughout the entire figure, and the design with several delicious JagaRico sticks growing from its head is incredibly amusing. The scepter, unsurprisingly, directly adopts the snack's design, while the shield is truly eye-catching! Crafted from metallic material, the shield features the classic JagaRico giraffe character emblem, showcasing a beautiful luster – it's just... too dazzling!
