Japanese model manufacturer OUR TREASURE, under its Summer Queens series, has officially unveiled new products based on the popular anime "My Dress-Up Darling"—a 1/8 scale Marin Kitagawa figure. This release will be available simultaneously as a semi-assembly model under their Assemble Heroines brand and as a fully painted finished product. The suggested retail prices are 9,900 JPY and 19,800 JPY respectively, with an anticipated release in July 2026!
Marin's swimsuit appearance is directly inspired by the anime's second episode. This memorable scene depicts her first visit to Wakana Gojo's home for a cosplay fitting. To ease Wakana's potential embarrassment during the measurements, Marin opted to wear a swimsuit. Despite her consideration, the unavoidable physical contact and Wakana's intense nervousness created a truly blush-inducing, heart-pounding atmosphere!
This Summer Queens Marin Kitagawa figure captures that iconic measurement scene from the first season, featuring her in a bikini with a dynamic pose, hand extended forward. The intricate sculpting beautifully highlights her slender yet voluptuous physique! The fully painted version boasts delicate airbrushing that achieves a flawless, supple skin texture, while details like the swimsuit patterns and necklace are exquisitely reproduced!
For the semi-assembly model version, the head and bikini top come pre-painted and pre-assembled. The remaining components, including skin tones and other swimsuit sections, are unpainted, unassembled multi-color plastic model parts, representing a novel "semi-finished" assembly model concept. According to official statements, collectors can achieve a finished product closely resembling the original design even without additional painting, simply by assembling the parts! Furthermore, both the assembly model and painted figure versions feature a ball joint in the neck, allowing fans to subtly adjust Marin's gaze and pose her at various angles! (Note: The images showcase the official painted prototype.)
