BANDAI SPIRITS' collector's toy division TAMASHII NATIONS, under its S.H.Figuarts action figure brand, is releasing a special product to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the popular "Ultraman" series: the "Zetton 60th Anniversary Edition" action figure. It will retail for 11,000 JPY and is scheduled for release in August 2026!
The "Space Dinosaur" Zetton first appeared in the final episode of "Ultraman," Episode 39, titled "Farewell, Ultraman." It was a monster weapon brought by the Zettonians to invade Earth, possessing composite abilities such as hardened steel-like skin, teleportation, and invisibility. Its power far surpassed Ultraman's, making it the first monster in history to successfully defeat Ultraman. Ultimately, the Science Patrol defeated Zetton using their secret weapon, the "Gravity Bomb."
This "Zetton 60th Anniversary Edition" stands approximately 16 cm tall and was produced with the cooperation of Tsuburaya Productions' modeling department, LSS. The suit's sculpt and heavy texture are meticulously recreated, and this edition also features new weathering paintwork, presenting the intense battle with Ultraman from that era. Accessories include a beam attack effect part and a "Farewell, Ultraman" title PET plate, which can be displayed with the simultaneously released "S.H.Figuarts (True Bone Carving Method) Ultraman 60th Anniversary Edition" to recreate the scene of its first appearance!
