Max Factory, a Japanese model manufacturer, has announced the latest product from its popular and diverse plastic model kit brand 'PLAMAX': the 'PLAMAX AAA Wunder', based on the anime film 'Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time', scheduled for release in August 2026.
The 'AAA Wunder', over 2000 meters long, is a massive battleship operated by 'WILLE', an anti-NERV organization led by Misato Katsuragi. Its official name is 'Autonomous Assault Ark Wunder'. The ship's silhouette resembles the Nazca Lines hummingbird, with its hull combining the structure of a giant whale's skeleton and a double helix. In the film, WILLE uses the recovered 'EVA Unit-01' as the ship's main power source, granting it abilities such as gravity control and AT Field deployment. It is also equipped with a wide variety of projectiles, including multiple railguns, energy-piercing rounds, curved-trajectory shells, and super-electromagnetic direct-impact rounds.
The 'PLAMAX AAA Wunder' is produced using up to 9 different molded colors, including blue, yellow, white, and red. Once assembled, it achieves a color separation close to the in-film settings and boasts an impressive size of approximately 509mm in length and 406mm in width. The overall design meticulously reproduces the main structure resembling a giant whale's skeleton, the complex armor divisions and piping in various sections, as well as rich mechanical details such as antennas, turrets, engines, and thrusters. These intricate details can be further enhanced with self-painting.
The main cannons, antennas, and other parts feature movable designs. The main wings and left/right hull sections are designed to be detachable even after assembly, enhancing convenience for display or transport. The dedicated display stand offers two selectable states: 'horizontal flight mode' and 'deep roll entry into the L-Barrier boundary mode'. Furthermore, ordering this product from the Good Smile Company online store will include a limited bonus: 'Etched parts for antenna support detail enhancement'.
