Japanese model manufacturer Kotobukiya has announced the latest product in its pre-painted, pre-assembled model kit series "P3," the "Zelfikar Light Armor Ver." from Kotobukiya's "Frame Arms Girl" model kit line, scheduled for release in May 2026.
Zelfikar is a Frame Arms Girl designed by Japanese illustrator Fumikane Shimada. Its prototype comes from the Frame Arms "YSX-24RD Zelfikar" designed by Takayuki Yanase, and it is set as an enhanced version of Basellard. It features the addition of the EXU-02 enhanced armor unit to address defensive shortcomings and is equipped with new, more powerful armaments such as the "Prototype Optical Wave Emitter" and "Offensive Shield System."
The "P3 Zelfikar Light Armor Ver." released this time is based on the previously released model kit version. Each part is pre-assembled and painted with the same colors as the "photography sample" from the official product images, recreating the detailed color separation of the parts. However, the product content only includes Zelfikar's bare body and two armaments: the "Prototype Optical Wave Emitter" and the "Offensive Shield System," without the various armor parts equipped with numerous thrusters.
Accessories include three pre-painted face parts and 6 types of interchangeable PVC ball-jointed hands for both left and right. These can be combined with the bare body's flexible articulation design and the Offensive Shield System's claw deployment mechanism to recreate combat poses in its light armor specification.
