GOOD SMILE COMPANY's affordable figure series "POP UP PARADE" and its expanded "POP UP PARADE L" line will feature *RuriDragon* as its theme, releasing the latest product, the "POP UP PARADE RuriDragon Ruri Aoki L size" PVC figure! The suggested retail price is 8,800 JPY, and it is scheduled for release in July 2026!
The fantasy slice-of-life manga series *RuriDragon* (ルリドラゴン), created by manga artist Masaoki Shindo, tells the story of protagonist Ruri Aoki, who one morning wakes up to find a pair of strange horns growing from her head. Her mother simply tells her, "Just be yourself, you won't die anyway." Bringing her unresolved confusion to school, she naturally causes a stir among her classmates. And when she accidentally sneezes, fire erupts from her mouth... It turns out Ruri is like this because she inherited her father's dragon bloodline... Wait, Ruri's dad is a dragon?!
The "POP UP PARADE RuriDragon Ruri Aoki L size" measures approximately 22 cm in height. Based on the manga's cover illustration, the adorable Ruri is reproduced in a satisfying L-size! Despite having dragon horns, she dutifully wears her uniform to school! Her distinctive eyes are recreated with rich colors, and her small fangs (dragon fangs?) combined with her playful "scaring" gesture are also incredibly cute! The pleated skirt of her uniform is sculpted with a natural, flowing dynamic, and different textures, such as her uniform vest and leather shoes, are expressed through the paintwork.
