Japanese toy brand MEDICOM TOY's popular articulated figure series "MAFEX" has announced a new Marvel Comics-themed product: the "No.298 Venom (COMIC BLUE Ver.)" articulated figure, with a suggested retail price of 10,780 JPY, scheduled for release in October 2026!
Venom is an extraterrestrial symbiote that appears in a liquid-like form and requires a host to survive. It first appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man #252, where it unintentionally bonded with Spider-Man Peter Parker. After being rejected, it found its primary host in the comics, Eddie Brock, in issue #300.
This Venom (COMIC BLUE Ver.) stands approximately 16 cm tall and is a recolor based on the "Venom (COMIC Ver.)" released in 2019. The sculpting faithfully reproduces the muscular physique and the spider emblem on its chest and back. The paintwork has been changed to a classic light blue color, similar to Venom's appearance in the Marvel vs. Capcom series, with spray painting to deepen shadow details, offering a visual effect different from the original version! Accessories also include an open-mouthed alternate head sculpt, multiple sets of interchangeable hands, and web effect parts, allowing for various cool dynamic poses with its flexible articulation!
