Japanese high-quality collectible statue brand Prime 1 Studio has announced its latest product from the video game "Gears of War: Reloaded," the **"REAL ELITE MASTERLINE Marcus Fenix 1/3 Scale Statue,"** slated for release between April and July 2027. This product is available in a standard regular edition and an ultimate edition with richer accessories.
The "Gears of War" series, a highly acclaimed third-person shooter launched on the Xbox 360 platform in 2006, is set on the planet Sera. After oil reserves were depleted, humanity divided into two major factions to fight for energy, leading to the 79-year "Pendulum Wars." The protagonist, **Marcus Fenix**, was a war hero who led the Coalition of Ordered Governments (COG) faction to victory in a pivotal battle. However, just six weeks after the war ended, the Locust Horde suddenly emerged from underground and launched an attack, wiping out a quarter of the population in a single day. Over the next decade of fighting, COG released Marcus from prison, where he was held for disobeying orders to save his father, to lead Delta Squad underground to destroy the Locust stronghold as part of the "Lightmass Offensive."
With the release of "Gears of War: Reloaded," a modern technological remake of the original game for the series' 20th anniversary, this **"REAL ELITE MASTERLINE Marcus Fenix 1/3 Scale Statue"** is also based on the high-resolution graphics from the remake. It brings to life protagonist Marcus's gun-wielding crouching pose from the game's cover, embodying the core "cover-based shooting" gameplay.
The Marcus figure itself meticulously sculpts his facial features, hair, and wounds, his heavy COG armor, and the highly detailed Lancer Assault Rifle, among other elements. Multi-layered paint applications are used to differentiate textures like skin, leather, and metal, as well as to depict weathering effects and bloodstains across his body from fierce combat. The base evokes a harsh battlefield, featuring cover, a shotgun, and Locust corpses, immersing viewers in a smoke-filled, blood-soaked chaotic scene. Furthermore, the armor, Lancer, and base all incorporate LED lighting mechanisms that emit blue and orange light.
The ultimate edition further includes a helmet left behind by an unknown soldier, its peeling paint and metal degradation conveying his story. It also comes with interchangeable lower body parts for Marcus in a standing pose, allowing him to stand tall on the ground, creating an imposing figure approximately one meter in height.
