Japanese toy brand MEDICOM TOY's "Toei Retro Soft Vinyl Collection (東映レトロソフビコレクション)" will release its latest product, the "Higashijima Tanzaburo" character soft vinyl figure, based on the anime "Higashijima Tanzaburo Wants to Be Kamen Rider." The suggested retail price is 16,500 JPY, and it is scheduled for release in July 2026.
The manga "Higashijima Tanzaburo Wants to Be Kamen Rider," created by Japanese manga artist Shibata Yukinobu, is co-produced by Ishimori Productions and Toei. As the title suggests, Higashijima Tanzaburo, who has loved the tokusatsu series "Kamen Rider" since childhood, swore to become a hero of justice and defeat the Shocker combatants of the evil organization. He diligently trained every day, developing the formidable strength to repel a bear with his bare hands, but is now a 40-year-old man... When Higashijima sold all his collectibles and was about to give up on his dream, multiple incidents of fake Shocker crimes suddenly appeared in society. Higashijima Tanzaburo puts on the Kamen Rider mask... and the adult Kamen Rider role-playing game begins!
The "Higashijima Tanzaburo" character soft vinyl figure from the Toei Retro Soft Vinyl Collection is crafted in a retro soft vinyl style proportion, with a height of approximately 24 cm. It recreates the super passionate scene where Higashijima Tanzaburo, wearing a Kamen Rider No. 1 mask at a festival, is moved to tears as he declares himself Kamen Rider! His face full of stubble and a fierce expression, plus tears... it's truly moving QQ The Kamen Rider mask on his head uses elastic cord material, allowing it to be hung on his head or fully worn, just like in the series.
