Japanese model manufacturer Megahouse, known for its 'GGG (Gundam Girls Generation)' character figure series which brings female characters from the "Mobile Suit Gundam" series to life with exquisite sculpting, has announced the latest product from the anime "Mobile Suit Gundam The 08th MS Team": "Aina Sahalin ~Snow Night Ver.~", slated for release in July 2026.
The heroine, Aina Sahalin, is the daughter of the prestigious Sahalin family of the Principality of Zeon. To restore her family's prestige, the gentle-hearted Aina dedicated herself to assisting her brother, Ginias, and became a test pilot for various experimental machines. Despite her unyielding determination, she lived like a puppet, following her brother's instructions, until her fateful romance with Shiro Amada. It was then that Aina confronted her own will, grew disgusted with her brother's insane obsession, and together with Shiro, destroyed the Apsalus III piloted by Ginias. Ultimately, the two, along with their unborn child, retired to a secluded mountain cabin.
"GGG Aina Sahalin ~Snow Night Ver.~" is a modified version of the standard edition released in 2019. It features a complete repaint, showcasing icy blue hair and a pilot suit in a night-sky purple, recreating the nighttime colors seen in the anime's seventh episode, "Reunion," where Aina and Shiro reunite in a snowy mountainous region.
Aside from the color scheme, the specifications are identical to the standard version. The 1/8 scale figure, standing approximately 20 cm tall, depicts Aina in her pilot suit, leaning against a railing. Her gentle smile conveys her kind yet strong inner spirit. The pilot suit, clinging to her body, not only perfectly showcases her graceful figure but also boldly unzips to reveal her sports bra, bringing to mind the romantic scene where the two bathed in a beam saber hot spring in the snow. Furthermore, the helmet hanging from her hand is intricately sculpted and can be freely attached or detached as desired.
