The alloy model 『AMAKUNI機神』 series, a collaboration between Japan's HobbyJapan company's model brand AMAKUNI and Sentinel, has announced that the first product of its spin-off series featuring a transformation and combination mechanism, 『AMAKUNI Chokishin』, "Genesic Gaogaigar," will have its full details revealed on February 6, 2026.
Genesic Gaogaigar is the "Strongest God of Destruction" created by "Green Star," the home planet of Mamoru and the mechanical lion Galeon, formed by the combination of Genesic Gaigar and five Genesic Machines, and is Gaogaigar's original true form. It was originally created by Green Star leader Cain to combat the "Sol 11 Planetary Masters," artificial warriors made by Red Star. However, the control core of the Zonder Metal from Purple Star suddenly went berserk, triggering the "Machine World Ascension" crisis, where the planet was eroded by Zonders. The Green Star leader then ordered the Genesic Machines to be modified into units specialized for combating Zonders, but the erosion speed was unexpected, and only Galeon could be fully modified. The remaining Genesic Machines were sealed within G-Crystals, and Mamoru and Galeon were urgently sent to Earth to escape.
"AMAKUNI Chokishin Genesic Gaogaigar" is an enhanced version based on the "AMAKUNI機神 Genesic Gaogaigar" released in 2020. The previous product was jointly developed by AMAKUNI and Sentinel, with mechanical designer Toshihisa Miyauchi serving as product designer. It utilized alloy parts, ABS, and other composite materials to create a cool finished model, but the absence of the transformation and combination mechanism from the original setting left many feeling a bit disappointed. Therefore, the renowned toy design team T-REX was once again invited to redesign the transformation and combination mechanism for it.
The product will include Galeon and five Genesic Machines. Galeon can transform into its robot form, "Genesic Gaigar," and through the precise complete transformation and combination mechanism of the Genesic Machines, it will recreate the powerfully sculpted "Genesic Gaogaigar." However, concerns remain about whether the joint strength after combination will be able to support the entire weight, and since the original version without transformation and combination already had a surprisingly high price, there are also worries that the price of this version might reach new heights.
