Kotobukiya's "Sigma Rockman X Ver." - The Strongest Rival Makes His Dominant Model Kit Debut!

Japanese toy company Kotobukiya is proud to announce the latest addition to its "Rockman X" (Mega Man X) model kit series: the "Sigma Rockman X Ver." model kit. Priced at 17,050 JPY, this highly anticipated release is slated for June 2026!

Sigma (シグマ/Σ), the primary antagonist in the "Rockman X" series, is renowned as Dr. Cain's ultimate masterpiece. Engineered with the finest chips and programming, he possesses exceptional intelligence and formidable combat capabilities, earning the admiration of countless Reploids. After encountering the Maverick Virus, he rebelled against humanity, becoming the first leader of the Maverick Hunters.

Making his debut as a model kit, the "Sigma Rockman X Ver." faithfully recreates his iconic appearance from "Rockman X," based on the original game design sketches. Utilizing CAD design for meticulous proportioning, the kit achieves outstanding articulation and precise sculpting, allowing for an impressive range of motion. Multi-color molded parts accurately reproduce the various hues of his armor, with some parts pre-painted, ensuring that even a straight build will result in a highly accurate and imposing figure.

Furthermore, the kit comes equipped with a rich array of interchangeable parts, including three distinct face expressions: a normal face, a smiling face, and a gritting teeth face. Hand parts include gripping hands, open hands A, open hands B, and weapon-holding hands. Combined with interchangeable cape parts and two different beam sabers, fans can recreate a multitude of dynamic scenes. The packaging also features an original illustration by Keisuke Mizuno, the character designer for many "Rockman X" series characters!
