The RPG classic, Dragon Quest, is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, and it's still as popular as ever, easily one of SQUARE ENIX's flagship titles.
Now, it's teaming up with Kameda Seika's super popular snack, "Kaki no Tane," for a special collaboration! Inspired by the iconic Seeds of Strength and Agility from the game, these limited-edition packs are hitting LAWSON convenience stores across Japan from February 3rd until the end of the month.

"Kaki no Tane" is a legendary Japanese snack, well-known even outside of Japan, and a favorite for many. Its crispy, savory-sweet crunch and bite-sized shape are a winning combo.
This epic crossover draws inspiration from the Dragon Quest series' classic stat-boosting items, the "Seed of Strength" and "Seed of Agility," creating brand-new Kaki no Tane flavors.

The "Seed of Strength Flavor" is built on a savory chicken and garlic base. Expect a powerful garlic punch right from the first bite – this flavor has some serious presence and goes for a hardcore vibe. It even features King Slime in the illustration, symbolizing an instant power-up!
Meanwhile, the "Seed of Agility Flavor" cranks up the chili heat. It's that kind of spicy that makes you want to keep eating, an unstoppable flavor sensation! Adorned with an adorable running Slime illustration, it perfectly captures that feeling of pure speed!

The official website also shared a message from the Kaki no Tane developer behind this project, who stated, "We were so excited throughout the entire process, constantly thinking about how to bring the game's world to life." Turns out, the lead developer is a huge Dragon Quest fan themselves!

Kameda Seika's Kaki no Tane "Dragon Quest" Seed of Strength and Seed of Agility flavors are both priced at 160 JPY. They're available for a limited time from February 3rd to the end of February at LAWSON stores in Japan. Don't miss out, brave adventurers!
