The popular assembly model Shokugan "SHOKUGAN MODELING PROJECT" series, released by BANDAI CANDY, the Shokugan division of Japan's Bandai Co., Ltd., has announced detailed information for its latest product from the Tokusatsu series "Gekisou Sentai Carranger": the "Gekisou Gattai RV Robo".
The RV Robo is a giant robot formed by the "Gekisou Gattai" (Racing Combination) of five RV-type combat vehicles (red, blue, green, yellow, and pink) piloted by the five Carrangers in the series. It is used to battle the giant space biker gang "Bowzock". The RV Robo not only possesses immense power, but its various spectacular moves also incorporate the style of high-speed vehicle racing. Its legs can glide at high speeds on land, delivering powerful kicks, or it can perform its finishing move, "RV Sword Gekisou Zan," while rapidly spinning its RV Sword.
The "SMP Gekisou Gattai RV Robo" fully includes the five RV-type "Ranger Vehicles," recreating their cool vehicle exteriors with a rich array of molded color parts, precise sculpting, and supplementary stickers. It also largely reproduces the combination mechanism from the show. Once combined, not only are the frontal proportions and detailed sculpting outstanding, but the black undercarriage on the back also features richly sculpted details.
The product is manufactured using modern new technologies, achieving flexible articulation designs that were lacking in the original DX toys. This includes pull-out structures in the shoulder, hip, and ankle joints to expand their range of motion. This allows for dynamic battle poses with weapons such as the "RV Sword" and "Radial Shield," and can even recreate the high-speed running pose when performing "Gekisou Zan," as well as the cool kneeling pose upon completion.
Furthermore, a new mechanism has been added to the combination joints on both thighs, featuring two pegs: one for "TV Version Stance/Articulation" and one for "DX Toy Stance." When attached to the "DX Toy Stance" peg, it can replicate the retro toy stance where the lower leg's central axis is shifted outwards.
