The original plastic model kit series "30 MINUTES MISSIONS," released by Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS HOBBY Division, known for its quick assembly, easy customization, and the charm of its mass-produced machines, has announced its latest product: "EXM-A9p Spinatio (Pirate Specification)," slated for release in August 2026.
The EXM-A9 Spinatio, mechanically designed by Kanetake Ebikawa, is set as a mass-produced machine used by the "Maxion Army," a third faction distinct from the "Earth Alliance Army" and the "Byron Army." It features a slender and flexible base body design, much like a human, allowing for the attachment of various armaments such as samurai, ninja, and knight specifications, akin to donning armor. This newly introduced pirate specification is designed by Takayuki Yanase, equipping the entire body with armaments featuring a pirate captain motif.
The "30MM 1/144 EXM-A9p Spinatio (Pirate Specification)" is a modification of the previously released Spinatio base body, utilizing numerous new parts to recreate the pirate captain-themed exterior armor. It is molded in deep blue, grass green, and white, and comes equipped with a variety of weapons including a rifle, grenade launcher, hook, and short sword. Numerous 3mm connection points of a common standard are placed throughout the body, allowing for the free attachment of armaments using multi-purpose connection parts, or for customization with separately sold 30 MINUTES series models.
