Bandai Spirits' popular special effects and kaiju-themed soft vinyl toy series, "MOVIE MONSTER," has announced its latest product, "Godzilla Junior," from the movie "Godzilla vs. Destoroyah," which will be sold exclusively at the GODZILLA STORE starting March 17, 2026.
Godzilla Junior first appeared in the 1993 film "Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla." While of the same species as Godzilla, they are not blood relatives. Junior was cared for by Fire Rodan, humans, and Godzilla from egg to hatching to adulthood. By "Godzilla vs. Destoroyah," Junior had grown into a smaller version of Godzilla under Godzilla's care, capable of emitting a heat ray but possessing limited combat ability. In the film, it could counter Destoroyah's aggregate and flying forms with its heat ray, but when it encountered the more powerful complete form, it was utterly defenseless, captured, carried high into the sky, and then dropped to its death.
The "MOVIE MONSTER Godzilla Junior" figure is crafted to a height of approximately 13.5cm and a length of approximately 25.5cm. The soft vinyl material faithfully reproduces the complex skin textures, the mature head that closely resembles Godzilla's, and the still-developing dorsal fins. The paint application meticulously recreates the grayish-white dorsal fins and the yellow belly it has had since birth.
