The King of Monsters, "Godzilla," has officially teamed up with the Haas F1 Team, bringing the iconic kaiju into the high-octane world of racing for a season-long crossover event.
To celebrate the upcoming F1 Japanese Grand Prix at the end of March, the collaborative "Godzilla livery" F1 car, a specially designed VF-26 (display model), was unveiled today (3/24). This beast will first appear at the 1st-floor atrium of Tokyo Midtown Hibiya before moving to the 2nd floor of Haneda Airport Terminal 2 for a limited display from March 25th to 30th.

This design perfectly integrates Godzilla onto the F1 chassis, giving it an absolutely commanding presence. The front features a special collaborative logo combining Haas's "H" with a Godzilla silhouette. Behind the cockpit, you'll find Godzilla unleashing its signature "atomic breath," alongside an awesomely over-the-top (in the best way!) slogan: "Godzilla, heading to the world's fastest stage." It's all about that "ultimate power + iconic Japanese IP" vibe!

Haas F1 Team Principal Ayao Komatsu revealed that the idea first came up in 2024 during discussions for a special Japanese Grand Prix livery. He initially thought, "No way, Godzilla?" when the team owner casually suggested it. But they actually approached Toho, fearing copyright issues would shut them down. Instead, Toho found the idea incredibly exciting, and it took a full year for both parties to bring this collaboration to life.

Toho's "CGO" (Chief Godzilla Officer) Keiji Ota also chimed in, stating that combining F1's speed and passion with Godzilla's overwhelming presence creates an unprecedented new experience. He added that it's a fantastic way to showcase the global appeal of the Godzilla IP.

This "F1 car x Godzilla" crossover is truly groundbreaking! Besides the upcoming F1 Japanese Grand Prix, make sure to catch a glimpse of this epic "Godzilla livery" F1 car on display at the 2nd floor of Haneda Airport Terminal 2 from March 25th to 30th!
