Japanese hobby manufacturer Good Smile Company, under their mecha-focused brand MECHA SMILE, has teased the upcoming release of "THE GATTAI DX Dandivine" from the new anime series Jūō Bushin Dandivine. The full reveal of the product is scheduled for June 12, 2026.
Good Smile Company's newly announced 25th-anniversary project, the "Gattaishin Series" (Deity of Combination Series), is set to launch starting in 2026. This initiative aims to carry the culture and charm of combining robots into the next generation. Bringing together numerous creators who share a passion for mecha and the MECHA SMILE brand, the project completely links the toy design with the anime production right from the planning stages. The long-term vision is to release a completely different combining robot anime every year alongside synchronized toy releases, establishing a brand-new classic for the Reiwa era's robot anime genre.
The first title in this project, Jūō Bushin Dandivine, will begin broadcasting in October 2026. This landmark title brings together industry giants such as Aniplex, Takara Tomy, and Toei for its production. The story follows the combining robot Dandivine, which once defeated the mysterious enemy "Yanpast" and brought 20 years of peace to humanity. "Casga," the toy manufacturer that once achieved massive success by turning Dandivine into a hit toy line, is now struggling financially. While the company's president is desperate to revive Dandivine at any cost, Yanpast suddenly reappears. High schooler Shizuka Gekijin becomes the new pilot, and a brand-new battle is about to begin.
The titular mecha, "Dandivine," features mechanical and product design by the South Korean creative team GOD BRAVE STUDIO. The robot combines three Mythical Beast Machines—"Slash Unicorn," "Magnum Titan," and "Flare Garuda"—around the core warrior "Dandy Ace," who fights against supernatural phenomena. Prototype images for the upcoming "THE GATTAI DX Dandivine" figure have been previewed, showcasing the impressive proportions and massive scale of the fully combined four-unit mecha.
