Hong Kong-based toy brand POSE+ has announced the latest addition to its METAL HEAT die-cast action figure series: the "Shin Getter 2 (Getter Robo Armageddon Ver.)", slated for release in November 2026.
Appearing in "Getter Robo Armageddon," the "Shin Getter Robo" was developed by Dr. Saotome as a guardian for the "Shin Dragon," ultimately becoming the strongest Getter Robo. It forms from the combination of three fighter jets: Getter Eagle, Getter Jaguar, and Getter Bear, and can transform into three distinct forms. Among these, the land and subterranean combat form, "Shin Getter 2," is equipped with a drill arm and large thrusters, capable of unleashing devastating attacks like the "Plasma Drill Hurricane" and the supersonic "Drill Hurricane."
The "METAL HEAT Shin Getter 2 (Getter Robo Armageddon Ver.)" stands approximately 210mm tall and features a highly articulated design. It faithfully recreates the original's refined aesthetic and sleek, elongated armor using a combination of plastic materials and a die-cast frame. The head includes interchangeable parts to replicate its damaged look from Episode 11 during its battle with Getter Dragon. Additionally, the head features an internal eye articulation mechanism, allowing for gaze adjustments to convey its intense, cold stare.
While accurately reproducing the anime's design, the METAL HEAT figure also boasts "articulation amplification" features that significantly enhance playability. These include a five-axis neck joint that articulates with the power tubes, movable thruster bases with deployable main wings, pull-out thigh joints that expand the body's range of motion, and multi-joint designs in the shoulders and waist. These allow for dynamic poses such as jumping, flying, and kneeling.
The massive drill arm is finished with a brass-colored metallic paint application and includes interchangeable parts to recreate the tip-deployment scene from Episode 5. Furthermore, it comes with a "Plasma Drill Hurricane" effect part set, a thruster jet effect part set, and drill impact spark effects, allowing you to recreate powerful special move poses. It can also be combined with the separately sold "Getter Liger (Getter Robo Armageddon Ver.)" to reenact the iconic drill clash between the two units.
