T-SPARK, the high-end toy brand under Japan's Takara Tomy, has officially announced the latest release in its external collaboration series, 'SYNERGENEX'. This new figure brings together the company's own iconic "ZOIDS" franchise with the smash-hit hunting action game "Monster Hunter" for the new "Wild Liger Zinogre", scheduled for release in late January 2027.
The collaboration centers on the Zinogre, a massive Fanged Wyvern that first debuted in "Monster Hunter Portable 3rd". While lacking wings and the ability to fly, Zinogre boasts incredibly developed muscles in its limbs, allowing for agile movements and the power to pin prey with its formidable forelegs. Its carapace functions as a battery, and its fur can channel electricity across its entire body, emitting a brilliant blue glow before unleashing currents as powerful as a lightning strike. The Zinogre-derived weapon and armor sets are highly sought after by hunters for their excellent Thunder element and resistance, not to mention their incredibly cool designs.
The "SYNERGENEX Wild Liger Zinogre" is conceptualized as a Zoid specifically designed for hunting Zinogre, based on the protagonist's unit from "Zoids Wild", the "ZW01 Wild Liger". The figure features a completely new sculpt from the frame to the armor, perfectly recreating the Zinogre's iconic color scheme. Design elements include its powerful limbs, a large tail equipped with thrusters, sleek electrified armor across its body, Thunderbug components mounted on its back, and a fearsome head capable of firing a "Roar Cannon" from its mouth.
This Zoid is packed with gimmicks that showcase its arsenal and enhance playability. The "Thunder Eye" features a light-gathering mechanism to create a glowing effect, while the head's "Dual Thunder Horns" and the "Thunder Anchor Claws" on its limbs can be manually deployed. By activating the motor unit housed within the articulated frame, the Zoid can walk automatically, recreating its iconic moonlit howl pose. During its walking motion, the signature "Instinct Liberation" gimmick can be triggered, sending the Wild Liger Zinogre into its Super-Charged State. This causes the Thunderbug components on its back to automatically expand, revealing awesome lightning effect parts.
