SUN-STAR Stationery Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of the Bandai Namco Group, has consistently rolled out unique lifestyle merchandise, whose playful designs, infused with beloved IP characteristics, often leave consumers clamoring for more.
They've recently announced a new line of drafting mechanical pencils inspired by the iconic corporations from "Mobile Suit Z Gundam" and "Mobile Suit Gundam"—Anaheim Electronics and Zeonic. These aren't just any pencils; they're manufactured by the renowned German stationery giant, STAEDTLER. Priced at 5,940 yen, they're currently available for pre-order on Bandai's Premium Bandai website in Japan.
These mechanical pencils maintain the professional specifications and writing feel expected from drafting tools, while seamlessly integrating the distinct elements of both corporations.
The lead hardness indicator window, which shows the current lead grade, comes in four unique designs. Each design cleverly combines lead grades like "HB," "B," and "2B" with the logos of the two corporations, creating intricate details that immerse you in the Gundam universe. Functionally, they feature a long lead sleeve for an unobstructed view and the satisfying heft of a metal body. This ensures all the professional features and robust writing experience of a high-quality drafting mechanical pencil are fully preserved.
The top of each pencil's barrel proudly displays the corporate logos of Anaheim Electronics and Zeonic, respectively, giving each model distinct faction-specific details. What's more, the barrel undergoes a double anodizing process, which beautifully showcases the metallic texture while delivering vibrant, stunning colors. This meticulous design truly elevates the overall premium feel.
