Kaiyodo's highly articulated Amazing Yamaguchi line, renowned for its stunning American superhero figures, is unleashing a special "Amazing Yamaguchi 008 EX Carnage Limited Clear Version" action figure. This exclusive release, available through Japan's 7net, commemorates the then-upcoming film "Venom: Let There Be Carnage." Priced at 8,030 JPY, the figure was slated for a mid-October 2021 release.
Making his debut in Marvel Comics' "Spider-Man," the notorious supervillain Carnage, whose real name is Cletus Kasady, displayed severe violent tendencies from childhood. As an adult, he was imprisoned for committing eleven serial murders. While incarcerated, he shared a cell with Eddie Brock and accidentally bonded with remnants of a symbiote, granting him powers equal to, or even greater than, Venom's. He then unleashed a reign of terror in Manhattan, reveling in wanton slaughter, and thus the name "Carnage" was born, reflecting his blood-red, brutal appearance.
Sony Pictures' film adaptation, "Venom: Let There Be Carnage," serves as the sequel to the 2018 "Venom" movie. This installment promised a bloody rampage as the mysterious killer Carnage unleashed chaos. The film was scheduled for a September 24, 2021 release in the United States.
The "Amazing Yamaguchi 008 EX Carnage Limited Edition Clear Ver." action figure stands at 155mm tall, mirroring the size of the Carnage figure released in 2018. It boasts an impressive 40 points of articulation throughout its body. This deluxe set comes packed with a wealth of accessories, including various symbiote parts and an arsenal of symbiote weapons shaped like scythes, axes, needles, and swords, along with interchangeable eye parts. What sets this release apart is its limited clear version, which allows the intricately sculpted musculature and the symbiote tendrils wrapped around his body to exhibit a translucent effect, creating a gruesome, glowing appearance that amplifies his chaotic presence!
The weapon tips feature a gradient, steel-like finish, doubling their destructive impact!
